OlyLife Face and Body Gels for the Tera-P90+

OlyLife makes two gels to go with the Tera-P90+ hand attachments. The brown Youthful Glow Gel can be used on your face or body. The green Optirelax Gel is for your body only. Both help the attachments glide smoothly and keep good contact with your skin. Both also work as a moisturiser on their own.

What’s in the pack

One pack holds 28 tubes of 100 g each:

• 14 x Youthful Glow Gel (brown tube), for face or body
• 14 x Optirelax Gel (green tube), labelled for body use only

That’s a long-term supply for regular sessions at home.

Why use a gel with the P90+?

The gels have two jobs. First, they create a smooth, even layer between the attachment and your skin. The P90+ attachments work best with good skin contact, especially the radiofrequency and EMS functions of the OlyLife Frost Age Beauty Device. A conductive gel helps with that.

Second, they’re skincare products in their own right. Both labels list the same function: hydrates and moisturises skin. The gel makes each session more comfortable and consistent.

Youthful Glow Gel (brown): for face or body

This is the gel to use with the Frost Age Beauty Device on your face and neck. It also works with the OlyLife Revitaluxe Massager on your body.

Its ingredient list is rich in skin-conditioning ingredients. It has several forms of hyaluronic acid to hold moisture in the skin, plus soluble collagen and a peptide (palmitoyl tripeptide-5). Aloe and a probiotic ferment (Lactobacillus ferment lysate) are there for soothing. Peppermint, geranium and jasmine give it a fresh scent.

Optirelax Gel (green): for your body

Use the green gel with the Revitaluxe Massager on areas such as your neck, shoulders, back and legs. It gives the massager a comfortable glide across larger areas.

Its base is a light moisturising gel with glycerin, trehalose and sodium hyaluronate. Allantoin and bisabolol add soothing. It also has a blend of plant extracts often found in massage products, including mugwort (Artemisia argyi) leaf oil, ginger root, safflower, angelica root and notoginseng. Menthyl lactate, methyl salicylate and borneol can give a cool or tingling feel on the skin.

Youthful Glow Gel (brown) ingredients

Ingredients: Water, glycerin, trehalose, butylene glycol, glyceryl polymethacrylate, arginine, carbomer, Chrysanthellum indicum extract, Mentha arvensis leaf extract, Portulaca oleracea extract, allantoin, Pelargonium, Pelargonium graveolens flower/leaf/stem extract, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, sodium hyaluronate, Lactobacillus ferment lysate, hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol.

Other trace ingredients: Aloe barbadensis extract, caprylhydroxamic acid, ethylhexylglycerin, propanediol, Sophora flavescens root extract, hydroxyacetophenone, Jasminum officinale (jasmine) oil, Stephania tetrandra root extract, Gentiana scabra extract, benzyl glycol, hydrolyzed glycosaminoglycans, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, palmitoyl tripeptide-5, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium chloride, hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate, soluble collagen, sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, fullerenes, sodium acetylated hyaluronate.

Optirelax Gel (green) ingredients

Ingredients: Water, glycerin, trehalose, glyceryl polymethacrylate, carbomer, triethanolamine, phenoxyethanol, allantoin, vanillyl butyl ether, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, sodium hyaluronate, methylparaben, bisabolol, butylene glycol.

Other trace ingredients: Artemisia argyi leaf oil, borneol, Ligusticum chuanxiong extract, methyl salicylate, propylene glycol, menthyl lactate, Carthamus tinctorius (safflower) flower extract, Angelica polymorpha sinensis root extract, Zingiber officinale (ginger) root extract, fragrance, caramel, Eucommia ulmoides bark extract, Panax notoginseng root extract, 1,2-hexanediol, ethylhexylglycerin, Chrysanthellum indicum extract, Lonicera japonica (honeysuckle) flower extract.

Both gels are made by Guangzhou Meisheng Cosmetics Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou, China, to the Chinese cosmetic gel standard QB/T 2874.

How to use them

Face routine with Youthful Glow Gel

1. Cleanse. Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry.
2. Apply a thin layer. Spread a small amount of gel evenly over your cheeks, forehead and jawline. Keep it away from your eyes.
3. Attach the Frost Age head to the P90+. Choose the RF or EMS mode that feels comfortable.
4. Glide upwards slowly. Start at the jawline and work up the side of the nose, then turn and run over the top of the cheek bone, out to the temple. Continue the strokes upward and outward working along the jaw from the centre to each side. Run horizontally across the forehead and under the jaw bone. Keep the head moving, spending about 3 to 5 minutes on each area.
5. Finish. Wipe off any excess gel or massage it in. Add your usual serum or moisturiser if you like.

OlyLife suggests 3 to 5 sessions a week.

Body routine with either gel

1. Prepare. Make sure the skin is clean and dry.
2. Apply generously. Massage a good amount of Optirelax or Youthful Glow Gel onto the area, such as your neck, back or thighs.
3. Choose a mode. Attach the Revitaluxe Massager to the P90+ and choose the intensity of modes that feel comfortable.
4. Move slowly. Use circular or long strokes over the muscles. Spend 5 to 10 minutes on areas that feel tense.
5. Finish. Wipe off any excess or let it absorb. Drink plenty of water afterwards.

Use as often as suits your routine.

Things to know before you buy

• For external use only. Use the green Optirelax Gel on your body only, it’s not designed for your face. The brown Youthful Glow Gel can go on either face or body.
• Try a small patch on your inner arm first and wait 24 hours, especially if you have sensitive skin or plant allergies. Both gels contain botanical extracts and fragrance.
• The green gel contains methyl salicylate, a relative of aspirin. If you’re allergic to aspirin or salicylates, check with your doctor first.
• Don’t use either gel on open wounds, broken or irritated skin.
• Stop using it if you feel any discomfort.
• Store tubes sealed in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
• Check the lot number and expiry date printed on the packaging.
