THz Tera-P90: The Original OlyLife PEMF and Terahertz Foot Platform

The OlyLife P90 is a foot platform for home use. You sit down, rest your bare feet on its two energy plates and let it run. It combines two technologies in one session: PEMF and terahertz. The P-90 is OlyLife’s original device from which the rest of the range grew.

What it is

The Tera-P90 is a compact, low platform with a digital display and simple controls on top. Its two foot plates deliver PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) and terahertz energy through the soles of your feet.

The two work together. PEMF sends gentle magnetic pulses through your feet, reaching deep into muscle and bone. Terahertz works at the surface of your skin, where research links it to better blood flow. Your circulation and nerves then carry the benefits further into your body. The soles of your feet are packed with nerve endings and tiny blood vessels, which makes them a natural place for both.

OlyLife kept the controls simple. You raise or lower the strength with the + and – buttons or with the remote. A separate heater switch warms the plates on cold days. Use the P-90 in the living room, bedroom or office. Sit it in front of a sofa, bed or desk chair.

How does the P90 work?

The Thz Tera-P90 emits specialised biological resonance energy waves with a unique frequency and waveform. These energy waves are transmitted through a sensing energy input panel, ensuring even distribution in to the human body via the soles of the feet.

This process induces the rapid rotation of water molecules within the body, comprising both positive and negative ions, leading to the generation of intra-cellular mild hyperthermic effects (MHT). Consequently, it stimulates deep heat circulation within the human body. The Thz Tera-P90 revolutionises the conventional approach to introducing localised heat employed in standard thermal therapy equipment. It accomplishes uniform heat delivery through energy waves, effectively preventing discomfort associated with localised high temperatures. (Taken from the manual.)

With the electrical currents gently flowing through your body, it is recommended you drink 800-1000 ml (up to 4 cups) of water before and after the session to enhance conductivity. A dehydrated body does not make the most of these frequencies.

Use the P90 daily or, at most, twice a day with minimum 4 hours in between sessions.

How you use it

1. Sit somewhere comfortable, such as a chair, sofa or the edge of your bed.
2. Switch it on. If the plates feel cold, use the heater switch to warm them first.
3. Place your bare feet flat on the two plates. The session starts by itself.
4. Raise the strength slowly until it feels comfortable, then relax. Each session runs for 30 minutes and ends by itself.

You can use it while reading, watching TV or working at your desk. One device can be shared by everyone in the household.

What it’s for

The Tera-P90 is built for a regular wellness habit, focused on relaxation and general wellbeing. OlyLife says the plates give a gentle warmth through the feet when set at a low level, which makes it an easy way to wind down at the end of the day.

In contrast, use the higher levels to start the day. Turn the strength up a little and let the pulse wake up your body, giving a boost to your circulation. It’s the perfect moment to run through the day ahead, picture the goals you’re working towards and tune in to how your body feels. Come evening, turn it back down to help you relax and settle into a deeper, more restful sleep.

OlyLife describes the device in terms of the Earth’s natural magnetic field. They suggest modern indoor life cuts us off from it. That idea overlaps with grounding and some practitioners describe PEMF as a stronger version of the same effect. You can read what the research says in our grounding and earthing article.

The technology behind it

Both technologies have their own full article on this site. Each one explains how it works and sets out the actual research:

• PEMF: PEMF Therapy Explained: Where It Came From and How It Helps
• Terahertz: Terahertz Therapy Made Simple: History, Science and Benefits
• Magnetic fields more broadly: Static and Rotating Magnets: What the Evidence Actually Shows

Independent lab testing backs up the terahertz side. In 2023, Guangzhou Zhongsen Testing Technology measured the Tera-P90’s radiation output. Its strongest band was 30 to 1,000 micrometres, which sits squarely in the terahertz range. About a quarter of its total output is in the terahertz band. You’ll find the full results on our technical page.

Tera-P90 or Tera-P90+?

The Tera-P90 is OlyLife’s original foot platform. The Tera-P90+ came later. It has a redesigned main unit and adds two handheld tools: the Frost Age Beauty Device for face and neck, and the Revitaluxe Massager for the body. Choose the P90 if you want one focused daily routine for the whole household. Choose the P90+ if you also want skin and massage tools. We’re happy to help you decide.

Things to know before you buy

The Tera-P90 isn’t suitable for everyone. The manual rules it out for people who:

• have a pacemaker or any other metal implant
• are pregnant
• have heart disease or lung conditions
• have reduced feeling in their feet, such as diabetic feet

Our Tera-P90 technical and safety page covers every precaution in one place, along with the device specifications and certifications. Please read it before your first session. The Tera-P90 is a wellness device. It isn’t intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
